Worth Doing Tote Bag

Some things are just worth doing — like getting lost in a good story, making time to create something with your hands, or carrying a bag that can handle it all with style. The Worth Doing Tote is inspired by vintage library totes but built for modern life — roomy, sturdy, and thoughtfully crafted from fabric to finish.

Recently, featured in a special Kickstarter with USA Today bestselling author Penny Reid (yes, that Winston Brothers series!), this tote has become a fan favorite for readers, makers, and multitaskers alike. Whether you're filling it with books, yarn, snacks, or sippy cups, it’s ready to carry the beautiful chaos of your everyday.

Features you’ll love:

  • Roomy and reliable: Easily holds a pile of books, a project bag, or everything you need for a full day out
  • Great for everyday life: Ideal for busy moms, office commutes, library visits, or running errands between activities
  • Reader- and maker-approved: Built to hold both your current read and your current work-in-progress
  • Comfortable to carry: Cotton webbing handles make it easy to sling over your shoulder or carry in hand
  • Sturdy and structured: Keeps its shape without being bulky — no floppy tote syndrome here
  • Made with care: Designed in-house and handmade in our studio using exclusive, limited-edition fabrics

Hi! I'm Lindsey.

We started this business when things were pretty rough for my family. They say necessity is the mother of invention, and we had plenty of needs, some fabric, a sewing machine, and iron wills. SO we got to work solving the problems makers faced that no one else was solving.

While I was teaching 8th grade grammar, I noticed the fabrics were starting to get repetitive. Why were all the knitting prints always red, black, and white? Why were the sheep always old and never young and hip? Crafters come in every age and style, tattoos and rainbow hair included, and our fabrics should reflect that.

Now every print in our shop is designed by us, and very bag is drafted in house, just like my mom and I did it, to solve real problems.

We make everything in small batches (more fabric to play with!), and we back it with lifetime repairs. It's made to last and carry what matters, whether that's yarn and books, or your laptop and life.

Oh, and the name was simple--Erin was my middle name and Lane was my mom's.
