Viewfinder Project Bag – Clear-Front Knitting and Crochet Project Bag

She’s back — and she’s still doing exactly what she did best.

The Viewfinder Project Bag is a returning favorite that took a little break and came back ready to shine. Compact, practical, and incredibly satisfying to use, this bag is all about letting you see your project at a glance without opening, digging, or guessing.

Measuring approximately 8" wide × 6" tall × 4" deep, it’s perfectly sized for small projects like socks, hats, mittens, or that one WIP you keep sneaking in “just a few rows” at a time. The large clear vinyl front panel puts your project front and center, so you always know what’s inside.

A zippered top closure keeps everything secure, and the ribbon binding detail does double duty — finishing the bag beautifully and forming a snap that lets you attach the Viewfinder to another tote or wear it on your belt for easy, hands-free carry. Clip it on, snap it on, or tuck it inside a larger bag. There are no bag police.

She's like the mini view, but more throw into another tote, than stand on your own, making her your projects new bestie.

What It Does:

  • Compact project bag — approx. 8" × 6" × 4"
  • Clear vinyl front panel — see your project instantly
  • Zippered closure — keeps your WIP secure
  • Snap attachment — clip onto another tote or wear on your belt
  • Perfect for small WIPs — socks, hats, mittens, and accessories
  • Small-batch handmade — fabric placement varies; each one is unique

Why You’ll Love It

The Viewfinder keeps things visible, contained, and easy to brag about. Because you deserve a compliment on your latest WIP, no matter how many you may or may not have at home.

Hi! I'm Lindsey.

We started this business when things were pretty rough for my family. They say necessity is the mother of invention, and we had plenty of needs, some fabric, a sewing machine, and iron wills. SO we got to work solving the problems makers faced that no one else was solving.

While I was teaching 8th grade grammar, I noticed the fabrics were starting to get repetitive. Why were all the knitting prints always red, black, and white? Why were the sheep always old and never young and hip? Crafters come in every age and style, tattoos and rainbow hair included, and our fabrics should reflect that.

Now every print in our shop is designed by us, and very bag is drafted in house, just like my mom and I did it, to solve real problems.

We make everything in small batches (more fabric to play with!), and we back it with lifetime repairs. It's made to last and carry what matters, whether that's yarn and books, or your laptop and life.

Oh, and the name was simple--Erin was my middle name and Lane was my mom's.
