Archive Tote -- Foldable Library and Market Shoulder Bag

This is the bag you forget you packed until you really need it.

The Library Tote is a lightweight shoulder bag designed to fold up very small, so you can tuck it inside another bag and carry it along on all your adventures. It’s there when you need extra space, disappears when you don’t, and somehow always ends up being the hero of the day.

Measuring 13" × 15", it’s roomy enough for library books, yarn shop treasures, farmers market finds, or the random “I wasn’t planning to buy this but here we are” moments. Two coordinating fabrics—one on the front, one on the back—keep it simple but not boring.

Think of it like a pocket you didn’t know you needed. Extra capacity without extra commitment.

What It Does

  • 13" × 15" shoulder tote — lightweight and easy to carry
  • Folds up small — stores neatly inside another bag
  • Two-fabric design — coordinating front and back panels
  • Extra space on demand — perfect for books, yarn, produce, and market finds
  • Everyday useful — library runs, yarn shops, farmers markets, errands
  • Small-batch handmade — fabric placement varies; each one is unique

Why You’ll Love It

Because it’s always there when you need it and never in the way when you don’t. No structure, no fuss, no overthinking. Just extra space exactly when life calls for it.

Who is Erin.Lane?

Erin was my middle name, and Lane was my mom's.  So it's not a person so much as just this amazing thing my mom and I started building together.

Now I run the show.

Hi, I'm Lindsey, and I'm a somewhat crazy person with a sewing machine and internet connection.  I have been lucky enough to have built an amazing community of people who think what I make with my hands is cool.

I design all the fabric, a thing I never thought I would be able to do, because I got tired of seeing the same things over and over again.  All the bag designs are drafted in house, and with an amazing team of women, I have been able to do things my mom and I only dreamed would be possible.
