Worth Doing Tote Bag

Some things are just worth doing — like getting lost in a good story, making time to create something with your hands, or carrying a bag that can handle it all with style. The Worth Doing Tote is inspired by vintage library totes but built for modern life — roomy, sturdy, and thoughtfully crafted from fabric to finish.

Recently, featured in a special Kickstarter with USA Today bestselling author Penny Reid (yes, that Winston Brothers series!), this tote has become a fan favorite for readers, makers, and multitaskers alike. Whether you're filling it with books, yarn, snacks, or sippy cups, it’s ready to carry the beautiful chaos of your everyday.

Features you’ll love:

  • Roomy and reliable: Easily holds a pile of books, a project bag, or everything you need for a full day out
  • Great for everyday life: Ideal for busy moms, office commutes, library visits, or running errands between activities
  • Reader- and maker-approved: Built to hold both your current read and your current work-in-progress
  • Comfortable to carry: Cotton webbing handles make it easy to sling over your shoulder or carry in hand
  • Sturdy and structured: Keeps its shape without being bulky — no floppy tote syndrome here
  • Made with care: Designed in-house and handmade in our studio using exclusive, limited-edition fabrics

Who is Erin.Lane?

Erin was my middle name, and Lane was my mom's.  So it's not a person so much as just this amazing thing my mom and I started building together.

Now I run the show.

Hi, I'm Lindsey, and I'm a somewhat crazy person with a sewing machine and internet connection.  I have been lucky enough to have built an amazing community of people who think what I make with my hands is cool.

I design all the fabric, a thing I never thought I would be able to do, because I got tired of seeing the same things over and over again.  All the bag designs are drafted in house, and with an amazing team of women, I have been able to do things my mom and I only dreamed would be possible.
